Wow, it is hard to believe it has been 4 years... this family has been a consistent blessing to me and so many others. I am more than thankful for their friendship, encouragement and generosity. Nothing beats a home-cooked meal with this gang or a drive through the mountains looking for an adventure. They have always welcomed me like family, and I am truly grateful. You guys are growing up too fast, but it is a blessing to watch! How they have put up with me this long... is still a mystery :) {I} give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 Thank you Carsons; I will always cherish these sweet memories!
I cannot help but smile looking at these pictures. These sweet girls are a testimony of some pretty amazing parents! Their countenances genuinely glow with energy, adventure, and joy. Even some rain could not keep them from shining! I had great fun hopping gazebos with you all and am so thankful we got to meet; you quickly made me feel like an old friend :) ~ Sweet Sisters ~Once upon a time not very long ago when I was nervous about going to nursing school and leaving my family, another wise mother told me a story about her daughter... This sweet family is true blue {literally} and was an example of humility, trust, and love to me when they did not even know it. Thanks to Teenpact we got to meet a couple years later! These bright smiles were the highlight of my day, and the cheery handfuls of wildflowers picked for me were a close second :) Little Hands, Little Toes, Much LaughterYou have a radiant smile, sharp mind, gentle glow, quick thinking, and tender heart. All the makings of a great future nurse! I am so excited to see all the Lord has in store for you. Congratulations on your graduation and the next step in college. Keep trusting Him in the journey! ~ Sisters ~This family has been an example of generosity and hospitality to me for 3 years now,
and I consider myself very blessed to know them as friends! Why they keep putting up with me, I am not sure, but I always love the times we get to hang out together and explore :) Thank you Carsons for reflecting Christ's sacrificial love for the body of believers through your ministry to me. There will always be a special place in my heart for you all and our Sunday afternoon adventures! I love these two so much! Being away makes our time together all the sweeter. For all the short weekends spent at home, for listening to you practice piano and violin, for the "bear hugs" when I walk through the front door, for studying together on the couch, for laughter and the late nights - for all of these I am so thankful. I never could have imagined having such amazing siblings when I prayed for a sister and brother so many years ago... (that is a fun story for another time:) You both are incredible blessings to me. Love you :)
Here is a glimpse of my family... our time together is always an exciting adventure! They are the best family a girl could ask for and such a blessing to me :) You can see who is the center of attention... the cutest little cousin ever :) Really enjoyed walking across the bridge in downtown Chattanooga! For fun, we walked through the gardens of Gaylord Opryland Resort ... absolutely beautiful! It was definitely worth staying after dark, the Christmas lights were amazing! Lastly, we went in the 9 degree freezer to see the ice sculptures. So thankful for the parkas!
From our family to yours, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! |
