Proverbs 18:4
Wisdom:
How is wisdom a fountain? or a bubbling brook?
First, it says THE fountain of wisdom. Our world offers plenty of suggestions and advice, but ultimately true wisdom is God's. He is the Fountain, the source of wisdom. A fountain is refreshing, never runs out, springs forth, and is available for all who find it! A bubbling brook is gentle, winds and flows over rocks and in valleys, is joyful, and soothing just to listen to. Likewise, God's wisdom is relevant for all circumstances, applicable for every situation, brings life, renewal, and discernment.
The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death. ...
Understanding is a fountain of life to one who has it, But the discipline of fools is folly.
Prov. 10:11, 13:14, 16:22
- If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him… James 1:5-7
